Primary Sector - Activities which obtain resources from nature come  under the primary sector.

E.g. agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry,  poultry farming, fishing, mining etc.

Secondary Sector - Activities that convert natural resources through  manufacturing into finished products are included in secondary sector.

E.g. manufacturing sugar from sugar cane, cloth from cotton etc.

Tertiary Sector - All activities that deal with services come under  tertiary sector. The tertiary activities help in the development of the  primary and secondary sectors. Transport and communication, health,  education, public administration, defense, banking and insurance  etc. are important examples of tertiary activities.
