A text, line or paragraph in a document can be selected by the following methods:

1- If you want to select all the text in the document click anywhere and press Ctrl + A.

2- For selecting any line, text or paragraph place the cursor at the start of a word or line and then click.

3- After clicking hold and drag the cursor to the point you want to select.

4- A single word or line can also be selected by double-clicking on it.

5- Shift + down arrow keys can also be used to select a text by placing the cursor infont of the line or text..

6- Ctrl + Shift + down arrow keys are also used to select the paragraph by placing the cursor before the paragraph.
