✔here's your answer :-

>>EMBRYO :-

⚫an embryo is an undeveloped plant from which a new plant develops.
⚫it is found inside the seed.
⚫all seeds have different sizes, color and shape , hence embryo too varies from plant to plant.

✔VARIOUS PARTS OF EMBRYO( IN A DICOT):-

➡cotyledons -
⚫Embryos in seeds contains structures called cotyledons.
⚫it is the central portion of the seed.
epicotyls ( immature shoot ) and the radical are attached to cotyledons.
⚫the classification of plants is also according to the number of cotyledons found in the embryo.
⚫if the embryo contains just one cotyledon, then it is called monocotyledon , and the plant is called monocot plant.
⚫similarly, embryo containing two cotyledons is known as dicotyledon and the plant is known as DICOT plant.

➡radicle :-
⚫radicle is the first part of seedling from which the roots emerge after maturation.
⚫it grows downward in the soil.

➡plumule :-
⚫ it the second or lower part of seedling from which the shoot grows after maturation.
⚫it grows upward in the soil.

✔non embryonic parts or parts which dont constitute embryo but are a part of seed :-

➡seedcoat :-
⚫ seedcoat is the protective outer covering of the seed.
⚫it protects seed from mechanical injury or animals or any other environment harm.

➡hilum:-
⚫hilum is the point of attachment of two cotyledons or through which the cotyledons remain attached.

➡micropyle :-
⚫ it is a very small hole located near the hilum through which seed absorbs water when placed in water.
⚫this helps in germination because water is necessary for all metabolic activities and processes inside seed.
