it is the longest part of the alimentary part..
in human beings it is about 6 m long and 2.5- 3.5 cm in diameter...

1) duodenum
2) jejunum
3) ileum ...
duodenum : duodenum receive chyme from stomach ... bile from liver .... and pancreatic juice from pancreas through hepatopancreatic duct....

it has bile pigments and bile salts ....
it makes food alkaline for the action of pancreatic juice.... ...
