Farmers mostly depend on rainfall as its a main source. The crops which require more water are grown in areas which have plenty rainfall. The crops which require less amount of water are grown in the areas which have less amount of water available. Dams and canals are built mainly for the irrigation purpose. This is another source of water. There few methods of irrigation like drip irrigation, basin irrigation etc.
