Analog computer - - Analog computers were used to compute mathematical, physical and technical problems. They were specially capable of solving equations containing variables that depend on time or differential equations. These are mainly used for scientific and Engineering purpose.
⭐⭐ Advanatages of Analog computers are ⭐⭐
1/ Analog computers use no soft wires.
2/ No chances of wires.
3/ Does not emit any harmful radiation.
2) Digital computers - - A digital computer is an electronic computing machine that uses the binary digits 0 and 1 to represent all forms of information internally in digital form that are 0 and 1 so that 0,1,10,11,100 etc. Correspond to 0,1,2,3,4,5 etc. Digital computers are high speed, programmable, electronic devices that perform mathematical Calculations, compare values and store the result.
Digital computers are futher divided into two parts such as
⭐ General purpose
⭐ Special purpose.
Hybrid computers - - These computers comprises the features of both analog as well as digital computers. These normally serves as the controller and provides logical operations.
Main frame computers - - A mainframe is an ultra high performance computer made from high volume processor intensive computing. It contains high end computer processes, with related peripheral devices, capable of supporting large volumes of data processing, high performance online transaction processing systems, and extensive data storage and retrival.
Super computers - - These are the special purpose machine, specially designed to maximise the numbers of FLOPS. Computer above one gigaflop / sec is considered a Super computer.
It has highest processing speed. It is the fastest computer from any other computers...
