What are the various types of plastids and their function

Plastids are of three types:-

1. Chloroplast: It contains the green pigment chlorophyll which helps in making food.

2. Chromoplast: It contains the colourful pigment which gives colour to fruit and flowers.

3. Leucoplast: It is the colourless pigment which contains food.

Chloroplast:- it contains chlorophyll which helps to absorb light from sun for photosynthesis. They are green in colour.
Chromoplast:- they are fat soluble carotenoid. They give colour to plat. They are yellow, orange and red in colour.
Leucoplasts:- they are colourless. They help to store nutrients.

2 elaioplasts stores fat and oil.
3 aleuroplasts store proteins.
