UDP is a very simple 'datagram' service, which provides limited error reduction and multiple ports. TCPstands for Transmission Control Protocol, while UDP stands for User Datagram Protocol. Other options are the Datagram Congestion Control Protocol (DCCP)
and Stream ControlTransmission Protocol (SCTP).
