There are various ways in which a chemical equation can be made more informative .

Some of these ways include the following

1.) Indicating 'physical state' of the reactants and products.

The reactants can be in liquid form, solid form or gaseous form.

  2.) Balancing it.

This is ensuring that the number of elements of an equation are the same on each side.

3.) Giving the name of the components which is added when reaction is takes place.

This can be like adding an acid or  a base or any catalyst to facilitate the reaction.

4.) Indicating 'heat exchange' takes place in the reaction.

This could be either exothermic or endothermic type of heat reaction

5.) Indicating the 'conditions' under which the reaction takes place.

This can be under certain temperatures

The apparatus used to facilitate the reaction.
