The word “Veda” has been derived from the verb “Vid” and stands for acquiring knowledge or the means of acquiring knowledge.

There are four vedas:-

  • Rigveda
  • samaveda
  • yajurveda
  • atharvaveda

Vedas are guidelines on how to make sense of things around you simply by modelling them by things you see in everyday life. A significant example is, say a manufacturing process where the law of conservation works in every aspect of it… now use that in say almost anything, be it math, chemistry, biology, finance, even psychology… conservation works in all of them… this however is just the beginning… there are many more advanced models of reality described in the Vedas that one can use to better understand the world around him/her… and then depending on who you are you can use them to help you deal with everyday life or use them to manipulate the world around you to suit your needs…
