Manu Smiriti is an ancient Hindu law book which lays the rules for the Hindu Society. It raised the Brahmins position only next to god and degraded the position of Shudras or low castes. It was used as an instrument for justification for the exploitation of the Shudras and untouchables. Driving its authority from God it was used to serve a caste while repressing others.
