Answer: Ways to change / alter the strength of an electromagnet : -

1. By changing the number of turns in the solenoid wound around the bar of soft iron.

2. By changing ( ie either increasing or decreasing ) the strength of the electric current flowing through the solenoid.

Explanation: We know that an electromagnet is created by winding a solenoid using metallic wire around a bar of soft iron and by passing an electric current through the solenoid ie by connecting the solenoid to a cell or a battery.

Hence we can apply the above two ways to change the strength of the electromagnet.
