 \frac{3}{x} + x = 5

3 +  x^{2} = 5x

 x^{2} - 5x +3 = 0

Quadratic formula:

 \frac{ -b   +   or -  \sqrt{ b^{2} } -4ac}{2a}

So, a = 1 ,b = -5 and c = 3

 \frac{5 + or -  \sqrt{25-4(1)(3)} }{2(1)}

 \frac{5 + or -  \sqrt{13} }{2}

The zeros are  \frac{5+ \sqrt{13} }{2} and  \frac{5- \sqrt{13} }{2}
