Correct Question :- Find the zero's of 6x² - 5x - 11.

 \\

Correct Answer :-

We can solve the given expression as follows;

 \sf{6x  ^ { 2  }  -5x-11=0}

 \to \sf{\left(6x^{2}-11x\right)+\left(6x-11\right) }

 \to \sf{x\left(6x-11\right)+6x-11 }

 \to \sf{\left(6x-11\right)\left(x+1\right) }

 \leadsto { \boxed{ \pmb{ \sf{ \red{x=\frac{11}{6} \:  \: or \:  \:  x=-1 }}}}}

∴ Hence, the zero's for 6x² - 5x - 11 will be $ \bf{x=-1}$.

Given :

6x² - 5x - 11

To Find :

Zeros of the polynomial.

Solution :

Now , using splitting the middle term method.

6x² - 5x - 11

6x² - 11x + 6x - 11

x ( 6x - 11 ) + 1 ( 6x - 11 )

( x + 1 ) ( 6x -11 )

x + 1 = 0 ; 6x - 11 = 0

x = -1 ; x = 11/6

Zeros of the polynomial is -1 and 11/6.
