Answer:

Thermoplastics

Thermoplastics are the type of plastics that melt when heated and harden again when cooled. About 80% of the plastics produced are thermoplastics. Polyethylene, polypropylene, and polystyrene and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) are the examples of thermoplastics. These are used for manufacturing audio discs, shoes, handbags, toys, combs, car grills, drain pipes and various types of containers.

The process of melting and cooling a thermoplastic can be repeated many times. Teflon is a special thermoplastic on which oil and water do not stick and which can tolerate quite high temperatures. It is ued for making non-stick cookware.
