From 3,

s = e + 1

Therefore, From 1,

s + c = 10

So, s and c will be factors of 24

24 = 1 x 24

= 2 x 12

= 3 x 8

= 4 x 6

Here, 4 and 6 are the only factors which add up to 10, so s is 4 and c is 6
