Let, the numbers are a and b with a > b.

Given that the sum of the numbers is 58 and the difference is 28.

Then,

a + b = 58 .....(i)

and

a - b = 28 .....(ii)

Adding (i) and (ii), we get

2a = 86

or, a = 43

So, a = 43.

Then, from (i), putting a = 43, we get

43 + b = 58

or, b = 58 - 43

or, b = 15

So, b = 15

Therefore, the two numbers are 43 and 15.
