Step-by-step explanation:

let,

the two numbers be x and y

according to the question,

x+y=58............................(1)

x-y=28..............................(2)

subtracting (1) and (2)

   x+y=58

(-)x-y=28

we get 2y=30

              y=15

substitute y in (2)

          we get x-15=28

                    ⇒x=28+15

                    ⇒x=43

therefore, the two numbers are 43 and 15

Step-by-step explanation:

let let the two numbers be x&y

then x + y is equal to 58----(i)

and x minus y is equal to 28------(ii)

add both the equation.

x + y + x - y=58+28

2x= 86

x=43

then y=58-y=15

Also,y-x=28----(iii)

Add eqn (i) and (iii)

x+y+y-x=86

2y=86

y=43

so,x=15.
