It lies between the Arctic Circle 66.5 degrees North and the North Pole 90 degrees North. It covers 4.12 % of the Earth's surface.

b) The South Frigid Zone :

It lies between the Antarctic Circle 66.5 degrees South and the South Pole 90 degrees South. It covers 4.12 % of Earth's surface.

2) The Temperate Zone: It is also divided into two sub-zones.

a) The North Temperate Zone :

It lies between the Tropic of Cancer 23.5 degrees North and the Arctic Circle 66.5 degrees North. It covers 25.99 % of Earth's surface.

Answer:

The heat zones of the Earth are:

The Torrid Zone, the Temperate Zones and the Frigid Zones.

Torrid zone:

The tropical, or Torrid Zone, lies near the Equator and extends to the Tropic of Cancer in the north and the Tropic of Capricorn in the south. The north and south frigid zones (also known as the Arctic and the Antarctic) lie near the poles. In between them lie the north and south temperate zones.

Temperature zone:

The temperate zones (latitudes from 23.5° to the polar circles at about 66.5°, north and south) are where the widest seasonal changes occur, with most climates found in it having some influence from both the tropics and the poles.

Frigid zone:

either of two regions, one between the Arctic Circle and the North Pole, or one between the Antarctic Circle and the South Pole.
