There are many ways to reduce friction acting on a body but here are three most prominent ways that are used to decrease its effect on the movement of bodies . They are

• Rolling any object instead of pushing, pulling or sliding reduces friction hence aids its movement.
• Lubricating the parts that rub against each other causing friction .
• Smoothening the surface of the material that is being moved. Friction is caused due to small irregularity present on the surface which lock against irregularity in other body, smoothening reduces these irregularity hence aiding in better movement.
