The process by which they are formed is known as Thrombocytosis.

These are blood platelets. These are colourless, round, cytoplasmic fragments formed from the gaint cell of te bine marrow. These are found floating in the blood. These are enucleated bounded by membrane. There life span is of 5-10 days. It helps in blood clotting. They release a chemical, which initiates te process of clotting. There life span is 5-10 days
