Genes that are present on the same chromosome and are tightly linked shows very few recombinations as they are linked genes. Whereas genes that are not close to each other or which are loosely linked shows a higher degree of recombination between them.

tightly linked genes : When genes are close together on the same chromosome, they are said to be linked. That means the alleles, or gene versions, already together on one chromosome will be inherited as a unit more frequently than not.

loosely linked genes : Genes that are present on the same chromosome and are tightly linked shows very few recombinations as they are linked genes. Whereas genes that are not close to each other or which are loosely linked shows a higher degree of recombination between them.
