Tissue culture (TC) is the cultivation of plant cells, tissues, or organs on specially formulated nutrient media.Under the right conditions, an entire plant can be regenerated from a single cell.

The collection of mass is called as callus(Undifferentiated mass of cells) it can be used to grow new plant as plant have a capacity of totipotency(Inherent ability of living plant cell to grow, divide, redevide, and give rise to whole plant)

Nutritient medium used for tissue culture is Agar-agar,Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium,

Linsmaier and Skoog (LS) medium,Gamborg (B5) medium,Nitsch and Nitsch (NN) medium,White's Medium.

Or In simple words

Tissue culture is the growth of tissues or cells in an artificial medium separate from the parent organism. This technique is also called micropropagation. This is typically facilitated via use of a liquid, semi-solid, or solid growth medium, such as broth or agar.(Source:Wikipedia)
