What are Tissues???????
Answers
Answer:
Tissues are groups of cells that have a similar structure and act together to perform a specific function.
Explanation:
There are four main types of tissue: muscle, epithelial, connective and nervous. Each is made of specialized cells that are grouped together according to structure and function. Muscle is found throughout the body and even includes organs such as the heart. Our outer layer of skin is epithelial tissue.
Tissues are the group of cells, which are similar in structure and have same function to perform.
Types of tissues :-
Tissues are broadly classified into four types. They are :-
1) Epithelial Tissue :-
They form the outermost covering of body. They form lining around organs also. Their main function includes, protection, secretion, absorption, movement etc. Example :- Epidermis, lining of blood vessels etc.
2) Connective Tissues :-
They connect various parts of body. They are the most densely spread tissues. Their function includes support, transport and protection. Example :- Blood, Ligaments etc
3) Muscular Tissues :-
They are also known as muscles. They help in movement of the body. Example :- Cardiac muscles.
4) Nervous Tissue :-
They are made of nerve cells (neurons) and help in response to stimuli.
