Tissues: These are groups of cells having a similar structure and function.
Importance of tissues:-
- Tissues help to do any work more prominently in eukaryotes.

Plants:-
- In case of conducting tissues in plants, they circulate essential requirements such as water, nutrients, etc.
- In case of meristematic tissues, they help in many ways by increasing girth of the stem, increasing height, etc.
- Protective tissues helps in protection from parasites, other foreign materials which affect plants. Epidermis, also, increases the total surface area of root to take water (the epidermis which is present in roots).
Animals:-
- Nervous tissues carry nerve impulses essential for giving commands to our body.
- Connective tissues like blood transfer food, water and displaces wastes. Bones are essential for the framework of our body. Adipose tissues are great heat insulators. Areolar tissues are present in our body and help us in repairing of tissues. Ligaments, cartilage and tendons collectively help in movement of our body.
- Muscular tissues also help us.
