Some total parasites are dodder, broomrape, and Rafflesia, etc.

Partial parasitic plants are usually chlorophyllous therefore they are dependent on their hosts for water and nutrients only.

Dendrophthoe falcata, Santalum album, Striga asiatica and Viscum album are the examples of partial parasites.
