Tracheae are the wind pipes present in the neck which are about 4 inches long. The tracheae are present from larynx and runs down behind breastbone.

Trachea is a wide, hollow tube, extending from the larynx to the bronchial tubes and conveying air to and from the lungs. It is the part of the respiratory tract and commonly known as the windpipe.

It is found along the body’s midline, anterior to the esophagus and just deep to the skin.
