Examples of transparent items are glass, water, and air. Those materials that allow some light to pass through them are called translucent and include things like frosted glass and wax paper.

Translucent objects allow light,to pass through them partially. Some examples for translucent objects are: Butter paper, ground glass, thin sheets of plastic etc.

Some examples are: Transparent: Clean glass, water, air. Translucent: Frosted glass, wax paper, butter paper, smoke. Opaque: Stone, metal, wood.

Transparent Objects : If you are able to see clearly through an object, it is allowing light to pass through it and is transparent. For example :water, clear glass etc. Opaque Objects : If we cannot see through an object at all, it is an opaque object. For example: wooden door, wall etc.

Hope you got correct✔ answer..xd

Translucent materials are those that allow only partial light to travel through them.

  • The features of translucent objects are intermediate between Opaque and transparent ones.
  • The image of any item seen through a translucent material seems hazy or blurred.
  • The density of a substance with a non-uniform distribution of particles varies at different points.
  • Uneven refraction and transmission can emerge from such a density pattern.
  • Scattering centres can be caused by density fluctuations.
  • The light rays are scattered at the points of fluctuation.
  • Light scattering can be caused by flaws (for example, changes in composition) in a crystal structure.
  • In a polycrystalline structure, grain boundaries and cell boundaries(organisms) can act as scattering centres.
  • Examples: frosted glass, butter paper, tissue, Plastic cup, various polymers, etc.
