Answer:the type of wave propagate direction that a parallel to membrane plane , with but the membrane itself ,get displaced up and down perpendicular ,to that plane is called transverse wave.

standing waves is also known as stationary wave ,it is a wave which oscillate in time whose peak amplitude profile does not move in space.

hope it helps you

HELLO MATE HERE IS YOUR ANSWER

Transverse waves:

a wave in which the vibrating element moves in a direction perpendicular to the direction of advance of the wave.

Stationary waves:

stationary wave, a standing wave is formed due to interference. You see, when waves are superimposed, their energies are either canceled out or added together. In the case of waves that travel in the same direction, interference results in a traveling wave.
