Transverse wave:- In transverse waves, the individual particles of the medium more about its mean position in a direction perpendicular to the direction of wave propagation.
Example:- The Waves produced by moving one end of a long spring or rope, up and down rapidly, whose other end is fixed are transverse wave

Bonjour Mate ,
There your answer is.......,
⏩ Transverse waves are those waves in which the particles of the medium oscillate about their mean position in a direction perpendicular to the direction of the propagation of the wave.
Characteristics of Transverse Waves
⏺️These waves always oscillate in perpendicular direction to the source of sound.
⏺️The highest point of maximum positive displacement is called crest.
⏺️ The lowest of maximum negative displacement is called trough.
⏺️The crests and trough appear alternately in transverse wave.
