Trophic level: It is a group of organisms that is present in an ecosystem which belongs to the same group in a food chain.

The organisms of the 1st trophic level are the producers i. e. plants.

The organisms of the 2nd trophic level are the herbivores i. e. Cow, sheep, deer and goat.

The organisms of the 3rd trophic level are the carnivores i. e. Lions, cheetah and leopard etc.

For example, plants make their own food from sunlight. These plants are eaten by rabbit which is a herbivores. This rabbit is the food fox and wild dogs etc
