Tussar Silk, also known by its Sanskrit name Kosa silk, is produced from Tusser silkworms. Tussar is valued for its texture which is unusually rich and deep. The fabric is weaved by having muga silk in the wrap and tussar silk in the weft. This fabric has traditional woven assamese inspired motifs.
