Answer:

  • A twin prime is a prime number that is either 2 less or 2 more than another prime number
  • Pairs of twin primes between 50 and 100 are (59, 61) and (71, 73).

Step-by-step explanation:

A twin prime-

For examples- lets take the prime number from 1 - 10 and find twin primes in them-

2 , 3 , 5 , 7  are the prime nos.

Here the first twin primes are the pair ( 3 , 5 )

because according to the definition twin prime is a prime number that is either 2 less or 2 more than another prime number.

  • Here 3 is 2 less than 5   ( 5 - 2 = 3 )
  • and 5 is 2 more than 3 ( 3 + 2 = 5 )

Here the second twin pair is ( 5 , 7 )

  • Here 5 is 2 less than 7   ( 7 - 2 = 5 )
  • and 7 is 2 more than 5 ( 5 + 2 = 7 )

Between 50 and 100

The prime nos are: 53, 59, 61, 67, 71, 73, 79, 83, 89, 97

The twin primes are

1.    (59, 61) -

  • 59 is 2 less than 61
  • 61 is 2 more than 59

2.  (71, 73)

  • 71 is 2 less than 73
  • 73 is 2 more than 71

Hope this helps u..
