Special journals are the books used to record most frequent transactions of the business. These are separated as it requires more space and attention from the rest of books of accounts. You can relate it to your yourself with that you buy notebook for mathematics with more number of pages as compared to other subjects. Most common special journal is cash, after that there are sales book, purchase book, purchase and sales returns etc.
