Two properties of carbon that leads to formation o many of its compounds are
1. Catenation => It is the self linking property of carbon. A carbon can form long chains with many other carbons.
2. Tetravalency => Carbon aton has a valency of four which is also plays a main role in the formation of many carbon compounds. Its unique behaviour as a non metal helps carbon in forming many of its other compounds
