Decrease in the west Africa population. the trans Atlantic slave trade forced twelve to fifteen million people to migrate from Africa. This made the remaining West African people to be unable to sustain their country politically, economically and in farming. The many natural resources that west Africans had were taken by the Europeans during the slave trade period leaving the west Africans with nothing or less resources to sustain them.
