Answer:

Life & Liberty. A distant 3rd, slowly eroded is the Pursuit of Happiness. Life is the most fundamental, often lost in the abortion debate and gun control. No adult, post birth, or pre senile, has a real right to life without the right to self defense. Our founding 1776 revolutionists knew the right to life was not secure without the 2nd Amendment which guarantees us the right to self defense, with a meaningful method. Liberty? That’s slowly eroded too. Pursuit of happiness might be closing in on liberty, especially with the porn industry & drugs. Drugs were legal in 1776, all kinds, without a prescription. We’ve come a long way. Now your life & health depend on Obamacare & hospitals & insurance policies that kill as many as they save. Still life & liberty are the 2 major rights. Voting? It’s always been rigged, with massive voter fraud, the Electoral College, ballot stuffing. dead people voting, multiple times. Plus only property owner white males could vote in 1776. Give me liberty or give me death, a quaint idea of 1776, focusing on the rights to life & liberty. Now freebies have become the new rights. Freedom of the press? The press or religion? Only for the press or religion favored by our government. The right to a fair trial? Either take the plea agreement, confess to things you never did, or get railroaded in a trial, like Salem witches, complete with a death sentence or housed in a human zoo for life. The Constitution also enshrined the right to own slaves, sometimes not noticed today. While the 13th Amendment seemingly ended that, it had 2 loopholes, allowing “voluntary” servitude and slavery for those convicted, falsely or otherwise, of crimes. We have more “crimes” today than anywhere except maybe China & Saudi Arabia or Iran. Everything is criminal today, but only the peasants get prosecuted. Still, in the end, America did create rights to life & liberty, a little better than most countries. We’re exceptional, but our exceptionalism has diminished a little over the years. Enlightenment values did motivate our Constitution, a model for much of the world.
