There are two types of CPU and these are

1. Arithmetic Logic Unit(ALU)

It performs arithmetic and logic

operations. It helps to solve mathematical equations and to compare ensure that whether the answer is Greater or less or equal.

2. Control unit CU which extracts information from memory and decode and executes them calling on the ALU when necessary.

It controls the flow of data from input to memory and memory to output.
