UBISCH BODIES

A small, granular structure that is found in the extracellular matrix of cell of the secretory tapetal layer that surrounds developing pollen grains, is known as ubisch bodies.

Ubisch bodies have a sporopollenin coat, are attached to the peritapetal wall, and may play a role in pollen development.

POLLEN KIT

Pollenkitt is a sticky covering found on the surface of pollengrains. It is also spelled “pollen kit” or “pollenkit” and is sometimes called “pollen coat.” It is found in some plant families more often than others, but it is especially common in plants that are pollinated by insects

It is present on the pollen grains of those flowers whose fertilizing agents are animals (entomophily) so that the pollen grain sticks to the animal.

The pollen kit is made up of carotenoids and lipids.

It also provides protection from UV rays.

hope it helps.......
