Universal indicator is regarded as the pH paper which is a scale of colour which indicates whether a solution is strong acid, weak acid, neutral, strong base or a weak base. The pH scale or paper are impregnated with the universal indicator. This gives different colours with different concentration of H+ ion or OH- ions. The colour obtained id then matched with a pH scale.
