What are UTRs Their role & Significance?

See, UTR stands for Untranslated region.

If it's present on 5' region it is called 5' UTR,

And if on 3' region it is called 3' UTR.


3' UTR is the section of m-RNA that immediately follows the translation termination codon.

5'UTR are not translated.

3' UTR also often contains regulatory regions that post-transcriptionally influence gene expression.
