Vacuoles are the empty storage in a cell.  Vacuoles are storage sacs for liquid or solid contents. Vacuoles are small sized in animal cells whereas plant cells contain very huge vacuoles. The central vacuole of numerous plant cells may occupy 50-90% of the cell voume.
