Valves are thick, muscular membranes that controls the flow of blood in the ventricles and auricles in the heart.

• TRICUSPID VALVE is present between the right auricle and the right ventricle.
BICUSPID VALVE is present between the left auricle and left ventricle.
Both these valves prevent the back flow if blood into the auricles when the ventricles contract.

• SEMI LUNAR VALVES present in the pulmonary artery and aorta prevent the back flow of blood when the ventricles relax.
