Algebra is a branch of mathematics where an unknown quantity is to be find out. Constant is a term for algebra whose quantity is known. like 2, 5, 100 etc. Variable is a term being used for the identification of an unknown value. We often use letters as variables. ex- x, y, n, z. etc.

and constants are fixed values
e. g. X + 2 y= 6
u can give more values of X. and y which satisfy the equation as X =2 , y = 2
X =4 , y =1 which both gives 6
so X and y are variables while 6 is constant
