what are vectors types
Answers
A vector containing foreign DNA is termed recombinant DNA. The four major types of vectors are plasmids, viral vectors, cosmids, and artificial chromosomes. Of these, the most commonly used vectors are plasmids. Common to all engineered vectors are an origin of replication, a multicloning site, and a selectable marker.
All the physical quantities that have both tha magnitude and direction and follows the vector law are known to be vectors.
There are two types of vectors :-
1. Polar vectors:- These are the vectors that have a starting point as a displacement, force etc.
2. Axial vectors:- These vectors act along the axis of rotation and gives a rotational effect. It follows the right hand screw rule for angular velocity, angular momentum, etc.
