villi are cilia like out growt in the mucosal layer of stomach which plays a vital role in the absorption of nitrients

Villi are finger like projections in small intestine....... Which are highly supplied with blood vessels....

Its function is to absorb necessary nutrition and water from the digested food......And also increases the surface for absorbing the food........
