vitamin is an organic molecule that is present in food and is an essential micronutrient that an organism needs in small quantities for the proper functioning of its metabolism. several disorders can take place if vitamin is present in inadequate quantities like-
1.goitre-it is a disorder takes place due to deficiency of vitamin and iodine and cause the inflammation of the thyroid glands
2.night blindness -it occurs to deficiency of vitamin A and leads to eritated or loss of brightness in eyes.
3.rickets-it is caused either at birth or at young age due to deficiency of vitamin D and leads to breaking of bones and joints due to less calcium and phosphate mineralisation in bones
