Explanation:

Consider a closed flask with solution (H20+formaldehyde). formaldehyde being organic Volatile compound get evaporated and creates vapour pressure in flask along with H2O.

Whereas another flask with solution(H2O+Chalk powder) results in vapour pressure of H2O only and not of chalk powder.
