what are Watan Jagirs?

Watan Jagirs were the persons who collected taxes from each village and gave them to mansabdars and mansabdars gave the taxes to the authority. Many Rajput rulers had joined the Mughals volunrarily. Many of them had recieved high positions.

Watan jagirs were assigned to local zamindars or rajas and were hereditary and non-transferable in nature. Many Rajput princes were also the recipients of such jagirs from the Mughals.
