What are weak and strong acids? choose the weak acids - Hydrochloric acid, citric acid.
- nitric acid. formic acid, sulphuric acids.

Give reason for the following statements
(i) We feel burning sensation in the stomach when we eat too much
(ii) The crystals of washing soda change to white powder on exposure to air.
Kui) An aqueous solution of sodium chloride is neutral but an aqueous solution of
sodium carbonate is basic.​

Citric acid and formic acid are weak acids

Weak acids are acids where small no of particles disassociate into ions and strong acids are acids which have large no of disassociation.

Weak acids- citric acid ,formic acid

(I) because of acidity

(ii) they become baking soda

(iii) aqueous solution of sodium chloride produces the same amt of H30 ion and OH ions but aqueous solution of sodium carbonate produces more no of OH ions than of H3O ions
